Although AI will completely change the way work is performed and by whom, the more effective effect will be the complementary effect of the technology that will be used to augment versus substitute human abilities. As far as AI and the future of work are concerned, AI Won't Replace Talent which is a relief to hear that machines would find it difficult to substitute us. One argument that supports this claim is that the majority of AI systems are narrow. This is the stage where AI systems carry out a single activity but are indeed good at it. Likewise in the case of work the fear is that AI has the capacity to replace some of the tasks, but possibly not the multidisciplinary functions.
