Attendee Quick-Start Guide

Attendee Quick-Start Guide

Overview

Welcome to the event! This guide walks you through every step you need to take on your mobile app — from downloading the application at the venue to networking with matched attendees. Follow the numbered steps in order, and you will be ready to connect in minutes.

What You Will Need

Your registered email address (used during ticket/registration purchase)

       A smartphone (Android or iOS)

A stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection

The QR code provided to you at the venue or in your confirmation email

Part 1 – Download the App

The event runs on the WP Event Manager mobile application. Scan the QR code displayed at the venue (or provided in your welcome email) to go directly to the correct app store listing.

STEP 1

Locate the QR Code

Find the QR code on the welcome banner, registration desk display, or your confirmation email.

STEP 2

Open Your Camera

On iPhone, open the native Camera app. On Android, use the Camera or Google Lens. Point it at the QR code until the store link appears.

STEP 3

Tap the Store Link

Tap the notification banner to open the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) on the exact app page.

STEP 4

Install the App

Tap Install (Android) or Get (iOS). Wait for the download to complete, then tap Open.

Part 2 – Register on the App

Once the app is installed, you need to create your attendee profile. This is a one-time process and takes about 2 minutes.

STEP 1

Open the App

Tap the app icon on your home screen. You will see the Welcome / Get Started screen.

STEP 2

Tap Register / Sign Up

On the welcome screen, tap the Register or Sign Up button to begin the registration process.

STEP 3

Enter Your Details

Fill in your full name, the email address you used when purchasing your ticket or registering for the event, your phone number, and any other required fields.

STEP 4

Complete Matchmaking Profile Fields

If prompted, fill in your professional details such as job title, company, industry, skills, and interests. These are used by the AI matchmaking engine to suggest the most relevant connections.

STEP 5

Submit the Form

Tap Submit or Continue. The system will create your account and send a verification email to the address you entered.

NOTE

Make sure the email address matches exactly what was used during ticket purchase. Mismatches may prevent account activation.

Part 3 – Email Verification & Password

After submitting the registration form, the system sends an email to your registered address. The email contains two important pieces of information: a verification code and a temporary password.

STEP 1

Open Your Email Inbox

Switch to your email app or webmail. Look for an email from the event organizer or noreply@[event-domain].

STEP 2

Find the Verification Email

The subject line will reference your event name or account activation. If you do not see it within 2 minutes, check your Spam / Junk folder.

STEP 3

Note Your Verification Code

Copy or write down the verification code (typically a 4–6 digit number or alphanumeric string) shown in the email.

STEP 4

Note Your Temporary Password

The email also contains a temporary password generated by the system. Copy or note this password carefully — you will need it to log in.

STEP 5

Return to the App

Go back to the event app. Enter it now and tap Login.

Part 4 – Log In to the App

With your email address, verification complete, and temporary password ready, you can now log in to your account.

STEP 1

Go to the Login Screen

On the app welcome screen, tap Log In (if not directed there automatically after verification).

STEP 2

Enter Your Email Address

Type the email address you used during registration.

STEP 3

Enter Your Password

Enter the temporary password from the verification email. Tap the eye icon if you want to check what you have typed.

STEP 4

Tap Log In

Tap the Log In or Sign In button. The app will authenticate your account and take you to the home dashboard.

STEP 5

Change Your Password (Recommended)

For security, go to Profile Settings and change the temporary password to one of your choosing.

NOTE

If login fails, double-check that Caps Lock is off and that you copied the password correctly. Passwords are case-sensitive.
