The Constant Contact add-on allows you to connect with your site visitors and capture useful information about them, including their contact details, feedback, and more.
The installation process is the same for all WP Event Manager add-ons. You can install them automatically or manually.

To obtain the Constant Contact API keys, follow the below-mentioned steps:
Sign up or log in at https://login.constantcontact.com/login/.
Go to the My Applications section of the V3 portal (https://v3.developer.constantcontact.com) to sign up for a developer account.
If you already have a Constant Contact account, click Log in; otherwise, click Sign up to get started.
After logging in, the My Applications page appears. Here you manage your integrations (applications) with the Constant Contact V3 API. As a new developer, you’re prompted to register for an application. Registering an application generates an API key that you can use to make authenticated calls into our V3 API. You only need an app name to register.
Click Register or the New Application button. The App Name box will appear.
Enter the name of your application.
In the Application OAuth2 Settings section, select the options below:
Authorization Code Flow and Implicit Flow.
Rotating Refresh Tokens.
Click on the Create button, and the app details will be displayed on the page.
Then click on the Edit button, present beside the app.
You can get the details of the application.
In the Redirect URL option, click on the Edit button.
Example: Then paste the URL: https://staging-myeventplatform.kinsta.cloud and press the Confirm button.
Click on the Generate Client Secret Key button.
Then the App Secret box will be displayed. Click on the Generate Client Secret Key button.
Copy the Application Client Secret Key and store it.
Note: For application security, this is the only time you will see this secret.
Click on the Close button.
Save it.
To integrate the API keys with WordPress in the admin panel, take the following steps:
Go to Admin >> Event Manager >> Constant Contact.
Copy the API key from the Constant Contact account and paste it into the WordPress dashboard.
Add the Client Secret Key.
Click on Save Settings.
Your Constant Contact account will be synced with the WordPress website.
After connecting the API keys, certain settings need to be performed in order to enable the functioning of the Constant Contact plugin.
Here, the admin gets an opportunity to select the list of contacts (the audience list that has already been created in your Constant Contact account).
There are mainly two types of audience lists: one is an event-based list, and another is the list that syncs all the data.
There are mainly two types of Constant Contact sync types: Auto and Manual.
When you select the Auto-sync type, the data gets synced automatically.
When you select the Auto sync type, we offer you two further options:
When New Created: As soon as a new user completes registration, the data gets automatically synced to the Constant Contact list.
Cron Job: When you select Cron Job, you get an option to sync the data when the cron job is run: 5 Min, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
When you select the Manual sync type, the data syncs only after the admin manually triggers it.
The left-hand fields show you all the fields you generate from the registration form fields (WP Admin >> Event Registrations >> Registration Forms >> Form Fields).
The right-hand side fields are related to the Constant Contact form.
Please associate the correct attributes that you want to sync from registration form fields to Constant Contact form fields.
In order to manually sync the data, the user has to select the Manual option in the sync type while setting up the Constant Contact plugin.
Here are the steps you need to take to manually sync the registration data:
Go to WP-admin >> Event Registrations >> All Registrations.
Select the events and check the audience to be synced (the registrations received for the event).
Click on Bulk Action.
Click on Sync with Constant Contact.
Check the Constant Contact account.
All the data will be synced.
Also, the status of the synced user can be seen in the Constant Contact column, as subscribed, just before the user status on the same dashboard.
The organizers can sync the registered user data from the frontend in their Constant Contact account.
Here are the steps you need to take to integrate API keys at the frontend:
Go to Event Dashboard >> Constant Contact >> Settings.
Copy the API key from the Constant Contact account and paste it into the corresponding field.
Copy the Client Secret Key from the Constant Contact application and paste it into the corresponding field.
Click on Save Settings.

In order to manually sync the data, a user has to select the Manual option in the sync type while setting up the Constant Contact plugin in the event dashboard.
Here are the steps you need to take to manually sync the registration data:
Go to Event Dashboard >> Constant Contact >> Sync Registrations.
Select the event and press Filter.
Tick the attendees to be synced.
Click on Sync.
Check the Constant Contact account.
All the data will be synced.
Also, the status of the user synced can be seen in the Constant Contact column.
In order to sync the data on the basis of the events, a user has to select Event-based selection in the Audience list type, while setting up Constant Contact on the event dashboard.
Here are the steps you need to take:
Go to the Event Dashboard >> Constant Contact >> Settings.
Click on Event-based selection in the audience list type.
Go to the Event Dashboard >> Events.
Select the event and expand it by clicking on the three lines.
In the Constant Contact section, select the list that you want these event registrations to be synced to.
Similarly, select the list for all the events individually.
Now, these lists are saved for particular events.
