Name Badges

The Name badges addon helps your attendees identify each other in an event through customized badges.

Installing the plugin

The installation process is the same for all the addons, offered by WP Event Manager. They can be both installed automatically and manually.

  1. 1.Automatic Installation: You can install the plugin from the backend of your WordPress. Click Here to see how you can install the plugin automatically.

Printing Badges From The Admin Panel

In order to print badges for all your attendees at one go, please follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Go to WP Admin >> Event Manager >> Name Badges.

  2. You will get the following options here:

  3. Select event: Select the event for which you want to print the badge.

  4. On-Demand Badge: This option is for all the admins who want to print a label based on a user demand, in case of an urgency with the printer available on the venue.

  • Select the on-demand label: The list of available printers can be seen here from which one needs to select one to print the label on the spot.
  • Select the on-demand label size: Select the size of the label from the options available.
  • Select attendees: This dropdown menu allows you to choose among “all unique attendees”, “specific attendees” and
    “attendees by ticket type”. 

  • Sort Attendees By: Here, you need to choose the way your attendees will be sorted in the list based on the following:
    • Attendee Name: Attendees will be sorted by their Names.
    • Attendee Email: Attendees will be sorted by their Email Ids.
    • Last Name: Attendees will be sorted by their last name.

      • Select Badge Style: Choose your preferred badge style from the available style options.

      On the other hand, if you disable the on-demand badge option, you will get the following options:

      • Select Attendees: This dropdown menu allows you to choose among “all unique attendees”, “specific attendees” and “attendees by ticket type”
      • Sort attendees by: Here, you need to choose the way your attendees will be sorted in the list based on the following: Attendee Name: Attendees will be sorted by their Names.  Attendee Email: Attendees will be sorted by their Email Ids. Last name: Attendees will be sorted by their last name.
      • Select badge styles:
        It is a dropdown menu that allows you to choose a suitable badge style for your event badge.

    • Customize the Badge layout: You can customize the layout of all the information that you have collected during attendee registration.


    • Line number: Here, you can choose which line number should display which information. For example Line no. 1 displays the attendee name, Line 2 displays attendee emails etc.
    • Field: Select the fields you want to showcase in a specific line.
    • Font family: Choose your preferred font from the various font options.
    • Font size: Choose your preferred font size from the available font size options, you can choose different font sizes for the same badge based on the lines.
    • Alignment: Choose your preferred alignment, Left- Center- Right, to display the information.
    • Text color: Choose your preferred color to display your information.
    • Click on save settings.
    1. Click on Generate badges.

    Finally, you will get the badges in PDF form that you can print later.

    Printing Name Badges from the Frontend

    To create name badges from the frontend, here are the steps you need to take:

    1. Go to the Event Dashboard.
    2. Click on the Name Badges
      option from the addon list present at the left side of the page.

    3. Then you need to fill up the following details to create Name badges.
    • Select event:
      Select the event for which you want to print the badge.

    • On-Demand Badge:
      This option is for all the admins who want to print a label based on a user demand, in case of an urgency with the printer available on the venue.
