The Salesforce CRM lets users synchronize attendee details that attendees provide during the event registration process.
The installation process is the same for all WP Event Manager add-ons. You can install them automatically or manually.
Automatic Installation: You can install the plugin from the backend of your WordPress. Click here to see how you install the plugin automatically.
Manual Installation: You can also install the plugin manually using SFTP or FTP tools. Click here to see how you can install the plugin manually.
The steps in this section describe how to generate a Consumer Key (Client ID) and Consumer Secret (Client Secret) for creating Salesforce connections.
Here are the steps to follow:
Go to your Salesforce site and log in.
Click on the settings icon and select Open Advanced Setup.
On the left menu bar, go to Home >> Apps >> App Manager.
Click on New External Client App.
Fill in all the required fields in the Basic Information section, including External Client App Name, API Name, Contact Email, and Distribution State. Click on Create.
Open the app’s OAuth Settings and select Enable OAuth.
In your WordPress admin panel, go to Event Manager >> Salesforce CRM and copy the Authenticate Callback URL displayed in the plugin settings.
Paste that URL into the Salesforce app’s Callback URL field. The URL must match the callback URL used by the plugin exactly. Use the URL for your own WordPress site rather than the localhost URL shown in the example screenshot.
Select the OAuth scopes needed for the integration:
Manage user data via APIs (api) for API access.
Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access) if the integration uses refresh tokens to maintain access.
Click on Save.
To integrate the API keys with WordPress in the admin panel, follow these steps:
Go to Admin >> Event Manager >> Salesforce CRM.
In Salesforce Setup, go to External Client App Manager, open your app, and go to OAuth Settings >> Consumer Key and Secret. If prompted, enter the verification code sent to your email and click on Verify.
Copy the Consumer Key (Client ID) and Consumer Secret (Client Secret) from the Salesforce CRM account and paste them into the corresponding fields in the WordPress dashboard.
Click on Save Settings.
After the keys are connected, certain settings need to be performed to enable the functioning of Salesforce CRM.
After the keys are integrated, the user needs to perform certain additional settings.
Select a Salesforce CRM module you want to integrate with the current form, be it leads or contacts. The CRM syncs any entry as either Contact or Lead.
Create Module Record: On form submission, it will add a record.
Create/Update Module Record: If the email address used in the submitted form matches the existing record, it will update the record. If the email address used in the submitted form does not match the existing record, it will add the record.

When you select the Manual sync type, the data gets synced only after the admin manually syncs it.
